Our event was established to benefit the Pallotti Day Care Building Fund and assorted charitable organizations. A portion of the proceeds from this running will go to benefit the wonderful mission being undertaken by St. Jude Children Research Hospital. Your participation is sincerely appreciated and besides... it’ll give you a good excuse to avoid that favorite Saturday morning chore.

WMZQ, 98.7, will be our Radio Sponsor and will be broadcasting with live updates on the day of the Race.

Registered Runners/Walkers can pick up their Race Packets at The Sports Authority, Laurel or day of race at Pallotti Day Care - Athletic Field, June 6, starting at 7:00 a.m.

Runners who send in an entry form which is not received by June 6 must pay and register on race day and will be refunded mailed check when it is received.

No pets allowed.

The 5K course will take advantage of Old Town Laurel’s tree shaded streets with a section of the course to mirror the Patuxent River. Water and splits at 1 and 2 mile marks.
Cash prizes to the 1st (3) men and women in the open division: 1st place $100.00; 2nd place $50.00; and 3rd place $25.00.

Awards will also be given to the 1st 3 men and women in the following age groups (no duplicate awards) 13 and Under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.

All registered participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and, if present at awards ceremony are eligible for random prize drawings that include dinners for 2, Orioles tickets, etc. Post race refreshments for all participants to include Bruegger’s Bagels, Fruit and Drinks.
From D.C. and points South
I-95 to Laurel Exist 33A 198 East to 1st traffic light, Left at light then right onto Sandy Spring Road 7/10 of a mile to Montgomery 1/4 of a mile to St. Mary’s Place.

BW Parkway
Laurel Exit 198 West, continue on 198 until you cross Route 1 (198 is called Talbot Avenue within city limits) proceed 5 blocks to right on 8th Street ½ mile to school on left.

From Baltimore
I-95 to Laurel Exist 35A, 216 East, proceed to 2nd light and go right onto Main Street and 1st left onto St. Mary’s Place, School is on right.

Parking available at St. Mildred Hall, Yellow Building across from St. Mary’s School. Phelps Center across the street from Day Care, 8th Street next to athletic field. The Weather was cloudy and in the 50s for the 2nd Annual Laurel 5K Run/Walk.
